Long grain white rice, 5% broken maximum, sortex-cleaned, moisture 14% maximum, foreign matter 0.1% maximum, average grain length 6.2 mm minimum. Crop year stated on contract.
Broken percentage is the price
5% is the standard trade grade. 25% is visibly poorer and much cheaper. Comparing a 5% offer against a 25% offer tells you nothing, so we state the grade on every quotation.
Sortex matters more than origin
Optical sorting removes discoloured grain, stones and husk. All our standard rice is sortex-cleaned and we do not quote it as an upgrade.
Why rice is a seasonal line
Indian and Pakistani export availability moves with the harvest and with export policy, so we contract seasonally and tell buyers the crop year.
