Company
A trading house, not a catalogue
Five lines, bought on numbers, held to the same specification shipment after shipment.
What we do
We import five food staples and sell them wholesale into the Somali market. Cooking oil, sugar, flour, pasta and rice, bought at origin against a written specification, discharged at Mogadishu, Bosaso, Berbera or Kismayo, and held in our own warehousing in Mogadishu. Our buyers are traders, supermarkets, bakeries, kitchens and institutional buyers.
How we compete
Not on price alone, because on a commodity nobody wins that for long. We compete on the specification holding between one shipment and the next. A trader who has to re-explain a product to their customers because the last container was different has lost more than the discount was worth.
Why five lines
Because five is what one team can hold to a specification properly. Every line here is bought on numbers we can check and enforce: an iodine value, an ICUMSA grade, a protein band, a semolina content, a broken percentage. A wider catalogue would mean buying some of it on description, and description is where quality goes.
Where we operate
Mogadishu is our base and where we hold stock. We ship CFR to Bosaso, Berbera and Kismayo, and deliver into the city and onward to the regional markets by pallet or full truck. Our source markets run from Malaysia and Indonesia for oil, Brazil and India for sugar, Türkiye and the Black Sea for flour, Türkiye, Egypt and Italy for pasta, and India, Pakistan and Thailand for rice.
